Bulge & Roll are the natural curvatures of a driver face — bulge runs heel-to-toe (horizontal), roll runs crown-to-sole (vertical). Together they create the Gear Effect, straightening off-center hits and optimizing launch.

While most drivers use flatter curvatures (10″–13″), Krank’s tighter 8.5″ × 8.5″ standard delivers more correction, more forgiveness, and more distance across the face. It’s one of the reasons our drivers have powered 36 World Long Drive Championships and Bryson DeChambeau’s U.S. Open win.

Most drivers start with a bulge and roll around 11″–13″, but with repeated impact the face slowly flattens to 14″–15″. A flatter face means less gear effect, reduced forgiveness, and shorter, less accurate shots.
