the truth about the usga and formula fire drivers

Understanding the Spring Effect (Trampoline Effect) of Driver Faces

The fire XX & Fire x drivers are

not on the usga non-conforming list

The FIRE X and FIRE XX Drivers have not been submitted for USGA conformity testing, similar to many other drivers worldwide. While they are not eligible for use in Professional or Elite Amateur USGA-sanctioned events that require inclusion on the USGA Conforming Driver List, they are perfectly suited for virtually all other tournaments and recreational play. Engineered specifically for moderate and slow swing speeds, these drivers deliver exceptional performance and maximum distance.

The fire XX & Fire x drivers are

specifically designed for

moderate to slower swing speeds

At slower swing speeds, the FIRE X and FIRE XX Drivers do not generate a COR/Spring Effect beyond the allowed .83 limit. It’s important to note that true COR ratings are significantly impacted by swing speed—slower swing speeds experience much less COR (Trampoline Effect) compared to faster swing speeds. This distinction is crucial to understand. Achieving fair and equal COR for all swing speeds is only possible by offering different face thicknesses and matching the face thickness to your unique swing speed. Maximize your drives with the fair COR you deserve!

Why Krank Drivers are the Ultimate Choice:

Top 5 Reasons

1. Three Face Thicknesses

for Every Swing Speed

One of the most innovative aspects of the Formula FIRE driver series is the availability of three different face thicknesses, each designed for a specific range of driving distances. This customization ensures that every golfer can find the right driver to match their swing speed and performance goals. 1. Formula FIRE PRO - Golfers with an average driving distance above 250 yards. 2. Formula FIRE X - Golfers with an average driving distance between 200 and 249 yards. 3. Formula FIRE XX - Golfers with an average driving distance of 199 yards or below.

2. Bulge and Roll

Correcting Off-Center Drives

Krank Golf has spent 22+ years perfecting Bulge and Roll to enhance the Gear Effect, correcting off-center hits. While others use flatter curvatures (11x11 or 12x12), our optimized 8x8 to 9.5x9.5 design—ideal at 8.5x8.5—maximizes accuracy and distance. This innovation has led to 36 World Long Drive titles and Bryson DeChambeau’s 2024 U.S. Open win.

3. Cupped Face Forged

Technology

Krank Golf’s Cupped Face Forged design maximizes the Trampoline Effect, increasing clubface flexibility, expanding the sweet spot, and boosting forgiveness. Even off-center hits achieve faster ball speeds for longer, straighter drives.

4. Super-Hot Forged

Beta Titanium face

Krank Golf’s Formula FIRE drivers combine speed and durability with a Super-Hot Forged Beta Titanium face—4x harder than cast faces. Micro CNC Milling enhances the spring effect, ensuring faster ball speeds, faster recovery, and higher launch on every drive.

5. Maximum Energy Transfer

(MET) Technology

One of the standout features of Krank Golf drivers is their Maximum Energy Transfer (MET) Technology, which optimizes how the driver transfers energy to the ball. Most drivers focus solely on face flexibility, but Krank Golf surpasses this by ensuring the rigidity of the driver body, the MET Technology not only increases ball speed but also improves spin control, directional control, and overall energy storage, ensuring maximum performance on every swing.
