"This is easily the best fairway finder I’ve ever hit. In my younger days my most common challenge was consistency with the Driver. I am totally pleased with all aspects of the Krank driver’s performance. The solid click off the club face alone is inspiring. The launch and trajectory is always with a consistent, tight window. "As I mentioned when we talked, I said that I would not hold back positive or negative. So here goes: 1. I purchased the club sight unseen based on my sister-in-law and your comments. 2. My initial reaction after playing a couple of rounds was that I didn’t see that much difference between my Taylor Made driver and the new Krank. But I wanted to give it some more time. 3. Then it happened. First…Control. For 3 rounds I probably missed only 2 fairways per round. Even when my swing was ‘not there’ I’m still in the fairway. The only explanation is the driver! "Crazy long and workable Had great service on figuring out which club head is right for me and after it got shipped super fast and was at my door just a few days later. First time taking it out it took some getting used to but after a bucket of range balls i could consistently hit a draw,fade, and straight shot. I was a little worried with some people saying that Krank drivers have a small sweet spot which i found to be untrue in this model. "My first impression with the club was just how it looked, clean and square. Nothing to adjust to visually and it feels well balanced. I have the 7.5 deg and I immediately adjusted to 9.5. The club sets up clean behind the ball and you have to tee it a bit higher, but wow the ball comes off hot. Distance wise I gained in flight and final yardage both. It’s been a consistent carry about 295 to 305, the roll is 20 to 50 depending on flight. I tried shafts from stiff to triple x in this head and the single x that came with it is the most consistent but the double x gets me about 30 yards more but not as consistent. Since putting the x11 in my bag I have put my other drivers in time out. For me I’m a 5.4 index and it takes a lot to change clubs, I’m still hitting the irons I got in 1990, because nothing feels better. "I’ve had the opportunity to use the new 2020 Formula 11 2X for a few rounds. I am 67 and still recovering from a stroke in late 2013. I hadn’t tried to play golf again until the Spring of 2019. Before my stroke I has a swing speed between 90-100 mph with the corresponding average carry of about 230 yds when swinging correctly. Upon re-starting to play my swing speed was down to sub-70 mph (with practice it has increased to 70-75 mph) with an average carry of maybe 160-165 yds. Krank recommended the 2020 Formula 11 2X Driver - RH, 12* (Stamped 10.5+), Speeder X Tour Light, Senior, 45.5" and suggested that I would see a 20 yd increase in my carry distance. I did not believe it. The driver arrived and my first drive carried 183 yds - straight as an arrow (a 18-23 yds increase.) I don’t get that distance every time the time but, keeping the “Indian/arrow rule” in mind, with a proper golf swing I now can hit over 200 yds frequently (a 30-40 yd increase). The diver is well-balanced and feels weapon-like when setting up. It is well constructed and looks great. The sound of a good strike, if that is important to you, is motivating and encouraging. The driver has given me increased confidence that a good swing will pay off and has allowed me to anticipate a good drive instead of hoping for one. "I was recommended to Krank by a friend at the course I regularly play. He is in his seventies and plays a pretty good game of golf. Like most golfers his flexibility and strength have diminished some as he ages and he was trying a few different things to improve his shot distance, especially off the tee. He found Krank and told me he loves his driver because he was getting a 20-25 yard increase and very straight on the majority of his swings. He told me he felt that with my slower swing speeds I might see similar results. "I received my new Formula 11 Pro driver. Out the box, the new look and feel was very polished. The oversized grip fit my palm perfectly and gave me a new sense of being one with the club. I took my new Krank for a test drive at the range. When I first addressed the ball, the new shape of the driver head made it seem easy to hit. When I first hit the club something happened to me that has never happened before. I hit a thwapping drive but the sound of the ball exploding of the face. The ball flight was not like my previous driver (2020 Callaway Mavrik). The ball flight was high with a slight draw, but most importantly it was long and straight. Next step, took out to the course- First course I played with the new club was Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, CA. From the tips some holes require you to fly it over 200yards.With the Formula 11 I started carrying the ball consistently 275. A solid 25 yards than my previous driver. The best part? "So, received my new Krank F11XX driver and all I can say is "WOW!" I'm not a Professional Golfer, nor do I play in USGA sanctioned events, so the fact that I'm now driving the ball 30 yards farther than I do with my Ping G410 at 63 years old is pretty, darned amazing. I used to be able to drive the ball about 280 with my other conforming drivers, but I'm OLD NOW! The mistake most amateur golfers make, is thinking that any USGA conforming driver will be "longer" than any other conforming driver. Since ALL manufacturers must meet the exact same USGA C.O.R. standard, none of them is, or can be, "longer" than any other, no matter what they tell you. You're being tricked with slick advertising. So, since I'm not Dustin Johnson, Tony Finau, or Cameron Champ, why should I be required to hit the same driver as they do? Sooner, or later, the USGA is going to understand that Professional Golfers should be required to play the same C.O.R. drivers, but that rule shouldn't apply to amateurs. It's kind of silly. No one is paying me $15M dollars to play golf! I have to pay them! So, is having the F11XX Driver "cheating?" Cheating who? The only drawback might be that your "money game" playing partners might exclude you from any agreed upon payment for "Longest Drive." Or, they can ditch their "professional" driver and spring for one of these to keep up with you. Trust me when I tell you that golf is a lot more fun when you're approaching a green with an 8, or 9 iron instead of a 6 iron, or a 6 iron instead of a 4 iron. "To be honest... I really wasn't sure what to expect with the Formula 11 2X. Out of the box, it was an excellent driver. Nice and shiny, felt good. Not sure that I really believed it would add 20 - 30 yards to my drive but off to the driving range. Off the tee, it hits really nice and sounds like a cannon. I was a little shocked that I was hitting 200 yards pretty consistently. For a man in his 50s, I felt pretty good. As I got a little more used to the club I was hitting the end of the range at 225 (and mostly hitting past it). I found that not really worrying that I was hitting short, my swing was getting better and I was getting much more consistency and distance. We all want to hit farther. This club is the real deal. I'm not going to be going on the tour anytime soon, but this club certainly will make for a more enjoyable experience when I play. Not only do I hit farther but it tends to be a forgiving club. "I am a 75 year old retired Air Force golfer. Played a lot of golf while in the Air Force from Illinois, Florida, Texas, Korea, Philippines and Germany. This driver totally surprised me. I did a little tinkering with settings, but after playing two rounds took it back to the original settings. The ball really comes off the face of the club with a lot of velocity. I just shot my age yesterday, hitting from the senior tees. It is nice to hit a seven or eight into par 4’s. On two of the short par 4’s I hit a wedge, which I have never done at my home course. "I want to let everyone at Krank know what an experience it is to hit the Krank Formula X 11 driver. My drives with the X 11 are on or very near the sweet spot, are 15 to 20 yards longer than my drives with the Ping G 410 I have, which is equipped with a $280.00 after market shaft. Given my skill level [that of an every other weekend duffer], of as much importance, if not more importance, is that the shots which are not on or near the sweet spot do not lose much distance, and the dispersion on the not so good contact shots is pretty tight. "When I first ordered the Formula 11X driver Lance told me it would be white. I wasn’t thrilled to say the least. Then it arrived and when I took the headcover off (by the way great colors and wonderfully made) it was love at first sight. The white was shiny and the look was like a cross between a European sports car and an American muscle car. The aerodynamic ridges just look sexy. The shaft Fujikura Speeder Tour X complements the look of the head. Just beautiful. My first hole was a 458 yd par 4. A bit downwind and downhill. Took a swing and with a “cracking” sound the ball exploded off the face. To my surprise it was a 303 yd drive. WOW!! Could this be real? Next hole a par 5. The tee shot ended 314 yds off the tee. I have now played 3 rounds with this fantastic driver and have only missed 2 fairways! With my old driver it was at least 2 fairways missed per round at best. "Since lockdown I have only had the chance to swing my new Double X driver in my simulator for the first three months and actually really love the way the ball jumps off the face. "Hi Lance, I was in Alto NM visiting my dad this weekend. On Saturday we played at Alto Country Club and on the back 9 there’s a 487-yard par 5. I hit an absolute “bomb” with my Formula 11 X. My drive was approximately 420 yards. Your Formula 11 X is “lightening in a bottle”. No question, the longest drive I have ever had by about 100 yards. My best description for the Krank Formula F11X is NUKED. The ball explodes with a powerful sound off of the face and not only is it long, it is a fairway finder too. "Here is an honest opinion. I got my driver on 6/8. It’s the new XX and it’s the REAL DEAL. I’m a high level paraplegic due to a bad crash I was involved in. I used to be a scratch golfer with a decent swing speed of 110. I now have to use a special cart that stands me up and I have to play with one arm. I have zero use of my body below my upper chest. "I’ve had the opportunity to use the new 2020 Formula 11 2X for a few rounds. I am 67 and still recovering from a stroke in late 2013. I hadn’t tried to play golf again until the Spring of 2019. Before my stroke I has a swing speed between 90-100 mph with the corresponding average carry of about 230 yds when swinging correctly. Upon re-starting to play my swing speed was down to sub-70 mph (with practice it has increased to 70-75 mph) with an average carry of maybe 160-165 yds. Krank recommended the 2020 Formula 11 2X Driver - RH, 12* (Stamped 10.5+), Speeder X Tour Light, Senior, 45.5" and suggested that I would see a 20 yd increase in my carry distance. I did not believe it. The driver arrived and my first drive carried 183 yds - straight as an arrow (a 18-23 yds increase.) I don’t get that distance every time the time but, keeping the “Indian/arrow rule” in mind, with a proper golf swing I now can hit over 200 yds frequently (a 30-40 yd increase). The diver is well-balanced and feels weapon-like when setting up. It is well constructed and looks great. The sound of a good strike, if that is important to you, is motivating and encouraging. The driver has given me increased confidence that a good swing will pay off and has allowed me to anticipate a good drive instead of hoping for one. "My name is Greg Sparks and I've had a Krank Formula x driver since they came out. I have a 9 degree base loft. I love the adjustability. The loft can go down 1 degree, standard loft, up 1 degree and up 2 degrees. You can also increase lie angle by 1 and put a draw bias to it. Mine is locked in at 8 degrees, increase lie angle, and neutral left and right. This driver hits rear straight for me on bad hits and draws on good hits without trying. Toed hits go around 295 yards and go straight. Solid hits go 320 average all day, and muscled hits go 335 yards on flat ground, no wind. I swing between 122-126 mph on a trackman."
